I’m One Proud Teacher

24 Jun

I just finished teaching an Oliver + S Workshop at JP Knit and Stitch. For the past month, I have been lucky enough to spend the past four Thursday evenings with some pretty dedicated and talented sewers.

Look at all the beautiful garments they made!

K. made a sweet Ice Cream Dress for her daughter’s birthday using fabric by Amy Butler.

Y. inspired us all with the messenger bag she made for her daughter.

J. made this adorable reversible bucket hat  as she learned the sewing basics.

T.’s precision and ease with edge stitching shines through with her lovely Class Picnic Shorts.

K.’s first time sewing with knit and learning how to sew button holes resulted in this fabulous Hop Scotch Skirt and Top.

Throughout the four sessions, everyone was so focused. It was so much fun helping everyone hone their sewing skills, but I think the best part was hearing about all of their upcoming sewing projects. There is nothing like being bitten by the sewing bug. Thank you, ladies, for such wonderful class!

If you missed this workshop, never fear!  I’ll be teaching another one in August, so be on the look out here.
