Small Goods

16 Oct

Day 6 of battling a horrible cold. I haven’t been able to do much other then attempt to get some sleep which I seem to be failing at terribly. I did manage to finish a few small things here and there.

I am doing a craft swap with my friend Crista, who makes the most amazing hats and accessories.  I knit her a pair of Fetching Wrist Warmers in exchange for a hat for my niece.

I also finished a bunch of headbands to give as gifts.  I think the next batch I make will include casings for the elastic.  I don’t like the way the pattern calls for the elastic to be exposed.  Granted, you can’t see it when the headbands are worn, but they look a bit unfinished.

I’ve slowly been making progress on the double-breasted jacket I have been knitting for J.  I just have to seam it all together and finish the collar, the trim for the pockets, and knit the back band.

Lastly, thanks to my friend Heather for highlighting my blog on her wonderful blogCheck it out.

I love those wristwarmers. It sounds as though it will be a great swap for you too. Hope you feel better soon.
