Toasty Toes

20 Jan

My first pair of socks since I last attempted a pair that I never finished. I used the magic loop technique and did both socks toe up. I used one ball of Trekking XXL in mauve and broke it up into two balls. After about half an hour trying to match up the stripes in the two balls of sock yarn, I decided to just start knitting. Lack of sleep makes me give up pretty easily these days. These were knit on #2 and #3 needles.

Now, I’m working on #17 and #19 needles. Talk about going from one extreme to the next. I started the Balthazar Vest from Twinkle’s Big City Knits last night. I must admit…I am really disappointed with the pattern. It is rather vague and isn’t very intuitive. I’m not quite sure if I have the eyelets in the right place. We shall see how it turns out.
