Our youngest nephew is turning 2 this weekend, so as part of his present, I made him the Oliver and S Sailboat Top and Pants in size 2T. For the top, I used fabric by Alexander Henry, and for the pants, I used a heavy-weight chocolate brown linen. The pattern itself, was so easy.
For those of you who have been daunted in trying an O&S pattern, may I recommend you start with this one? I can’t say enough how well-written these patterns are. They have enabled me to really push myself as a sewer and try things that I once thought were beyond my technical ability.
I am working on another sailboat outfit for J. I finished the top earlier this week, but still need to get around to making the pants.
